#AWEurope Wrap-up: Day 2

Day 2 was chock full of incredible Thought Leadership sessions, workshops, networking events and entertainment. The Advertising Week Europe Academy: In Partnership With The Berlin School of Creative Leadership continued its sessions with AOL’s Annie Kline and Unilever’s Keith Weed, while the LinkedIn B2B Forum brought together innovative marketing minds. Delegates also had plenty of data to choose between – the Data Driven Marketing Track of sessions presented by Adara or the Data Congress Block presented by MEDIAiQ.

Tuesday was also the day that Advertising Week’s Matt Scheckner announced the D&AD Impact Awards, which will debut at Advertising Week in New York in September. They will award creativity across 12 categories, such as diversity and equality, humanitarian aid, environmental sustainability and responsible production and consumption.

Day 2 also found MBE Rugby World winner Will Greenwood and others taking A Jedi Approach to the Digital Economy, and rousing Global Conversations with Sir Martin Sorrell, Formula One Group’s Bernie Ecclestone, and a high-powered panel, including Lord David Hannay, debating The Brexit. Kathleen Saxton jabbed and sparred on “The Comeback” with former Heavyweight Champion David Haye while Havas Global Chairman and CEO Yannick Bollore conversed with News UK CCO Dominic Carter.

As evening fell, a hobnobbing cocktail session with Cosmopolitan – A Celebration of Female Talent took over Kensington Palace. Others went for an exclusive premiere of the Disney film, The Jungle Book. The night concluded with everyone having a laugh with ESI Stand Up Live featuring comic Jack Whitehall.
