Julia Connaughton was appointed Strategy Director for DAX, the digital advertising exchange created by Global, the Media and Entertainment group in October 2019. She is responsible for the positioning, strategy and external communications of DAX to clients and media agencies across the UK, US and Canada.
DAX is the market leader in digital audio advertising, the biggest platform of its kind in the UK and one of the largest in the world. DAX created a new revenue stream for Global by inserting ads into the digital audio streams of its leading commercial radio brands.
Before joining Global, Julia held senior digital roles in top London media agencies, including the Head of Digital at the7stars, where she won Digital agency of the year, two years in a row at The Drum Trading awards. She has worked across a variety of sectors including FMCG, Retail, Travel and Finance, and across all digital channels.
