Axel Steinman

A proven strategic leader, Axel Steinman boasts an extensive experience in building successful teams, businesses and partnerships across many international markets.

In his current role as Vice President for International Bing Ads Sales at Microsoft, Axel is responsible for search advertising in all markets outside of North America. In those regions, his team partners with media agencies, search tool providers and direct advertisers across all verticals to manage their search marketing.

The Bing Network is a fast growing search business which provides a competitive alternative for advertisers and a unique way to reach consumers through intelligent search opportunities. Being the connective tissue across a range of consumer devices and services, Bing is fundamental to the core Microsoft strategy for post sales monetisation.

Axel has an extended international career, leading business divisions across all global markets, with twenty-seven years of experience working in digital media and technology industries.

He has spent the last ten years focused on expanding digital advertising and Microsoft's consumer online business.

Prior to his current role, Axel led Microsoft's display advertising business for all Emerging Markets, where he managed multiple complex operating business models and partnerships.

Earlier in his career at Microsoft, he has managed sales and marketing operations for commercial businesses in several different geographies with diverse cultures, business sizes and stages of market maturity.

His experience spans across enterprise, public sector, and small and medium businesses segments as well as channel partners.

Axel is now based in London with his wife and two children.
