Town Hall Series: British Business and the Power of Collaborative Creativity

 

At the 13th edition of Advertising Week New York, the all-new Town Hall Series made its debut with keynote speakers Arianna Huffington, Joanna Coles, Mark Cuban and more. Now, as part of the 5th anniversary event, Advertising Week Europe brings the Town Hall Series to the Lyric Theatre in London's historic West End district. 

AWEurope attendees are offered a seat in one of London's most iconic venues to listen to the biggest names in the industry on stage for a dedicated hour of immersive, thought-provoking programming. 

On Monday, Facebook’s EMEA Vice President Nicola Mendelsohn, will take the stage at Lyric Theatre along with a slew of senior business and industry leaders to discuss business in Britain. The session, “Business Without Borders,” presented by Facebook, tackles how to best ensure British business continues to punch above its weight on the global economic stage and the role creative industries can play in doing so. Attendees will have the chance to hear from the minds behind global phenomenons such as the Candy Crush Saga and the Harry Potter film series as King's Riccardo Zacconi and Warner Bros.' Josh Berger join CBI's Carolyn Fiarbairn on stage. Day one of Town Hall kicks off Monday, 20 March at 9:10 a.m. in Lyric Theatre. Doors open at 8:45 a.m., so be sure to get there early

On Tuesday, D&AD Impact welcomes Haiyan Zhang, Innovation Director at Microsoft Research Cambridge, for “D&AD Impact & Microsoft Present Innovative Technology for Good,” presented by Bing. Haiyan will be joined on stage by those whose lives have been changed by her innovative work to discuss the power of creative collaboration and technology. Attendees will hear the story behind “Project Emma,” a revolutionary innovation inspired by Emma Lawton, a woman diagnosed with Parkinson’s at just 29-years-old. Emma, Haiyan and freelance product designer and engineer, Jude Pullen, will share how people and tech can come together to provide new solutions.

Attendees will also get an exclusive look at projects underway at Microsoft’s innovation labs and the ways AI can make a healthy difference in real lives. Day two of Town Hall kicks off Tuesday, 21 March at 9:10 a.m. in Lyric Theatre. Doors open at 8:45 a.m., so be sure to get there early.
