That’s A Wrap On #AWAsia 2017

 

After a full week of over 170 events, ranging from thought-leadership and panel-led discussions to evening concerts and networking events, the 2nd Edition of Advertising Week Asia has come to a close.

Thursday at AWAsia kicked off for the last time with the Keynote Series, which featured Sarah Casanova, CEO of McDonald’s Japan, who discussed the importance of listening to a customer base, followed by Malcolm Poynton, Global CCO for Cheil Worldwide, who took a look the tech-obsessed industry today and why the future will be analog led.

Jean-Marie Dru, Chairman of TBWA and featured Keynote Speaker, later spoke about the importance of disruptive innovation as the lifeline of business, followed by P&G’s Stanislav Vecera who explored the power of advertising and how businesses today must face challenges, like transparency and measurement, head on to continue moving the industry forward.

As the celebratory conclusion to Thursday’s events and another successful Advertising Week Asia, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Rev Run of Run-DMC, gave a special performance with DJ Ruckus at Akasaka Blitz for the official AWAsia Wrap Party.
