Mobile, Leadership, Mar Tech and More: The Official Tracks for AWEurope 2017

As Advertising Week Europe gears up to head to London 20–24 March for the fifth year, the official calendar reveals a wide range of topics, people and issues to be covered during the week of thought leadership and special events. To help consolidate the 175+ programming events, a series of “Tracks” are used to help delegates narrow in on particular areas of interest and better tailor their AWE experience specific to their needs, industry backgrounds and specialties.

Meant to organize the wide range of topics and areas of interest covered during AWE official programming, the “Tracks” speak to the most topical, pressing and timely issues and themes dominating the industry today.

The Mobile Track, presented by PubMatic, will highlight monetisation with programmatic, mobile messaging strategies, emotional expression on mobile and the growth of the in-app economy.

The Data & Analytics Track, presented by Media iQ will take a closer look at the power of data to increase the creativity quotient, techniques to use data to understand consumers at a human, emotional level, post-Brexit implications on data legislation, and how Trump relied on data to win the election.

The Leadership Track will expose leadership styles, the power of diversity for an organisation, negotiation strategies across business sectors, mental strength through military training, wellness and mindfulness in the workplace, and tips from the brave souls who completely transform their careers.

The Agency Track will see media and creative shops take the stage all week long, discussing a myriad of timely and evergreen topics from the future of the agency model, disruption in the virtual world, cultural inspirations from Amsterdam, pitch triumphs and failures, the growing experience and sharing economies, creativity’s power within the brain, mad men versus the machines, and transparency.

The Video Track will share insights into telling stories across screens, the future of digital content, 360-degree and VR production, how the world’s CEO’s consume video and how the general public share video across social media.

The Mar Tech Track will uncover the next era of programmatic, the creative digital ad content leading the market, the role of emotion programmatic advertising, and targeting efforts from click bait to fake news to headline stories.

The Marketer’s Innovation Track will put the spotlight on the brand marketers as they share passed examples of innovative brand projects, products and campaigns that stood out – for better or worse – and look towards the future on what they think will be the difference maker in reaching their consumers.

The Storytelling Track will cover the subject at the core of this industry – monetising content, technology’s influence on storytelling, methods from the newsroom to the film studio, content marketing measurement, and utilizing new social platforms from Snap to Facebook Live in particular for reaching Gen Y and Gen Z.

The Sports Track dives into how new technology brings the fan experience to another level, the evolutionary way consumers are engaging with the sport and media elite, and how marketers can best monetise audiences.
